E-pen electrolysis is also much less painful than waxing, which can cause a rash on the skin when finished due to the heat of the wax and the pulling of the wax from the skin to remove the hair. In addition, the hair has to grown long enough for the wax to grip it, whereas E-pen electrolysis only requires that the hair show enough to know where it is so that the hair follicle can be killed. In addition, although waxing lasts longer than shaving and does cause the hair growth to thin out rather than to thicken, the hair does still grow back, requiring waxing for the rest of the woman's life.
