A Convenient Hair Removal System: Cordless Electrolysis Pen

According to electrolysis pen reviews, a cordless electrolysis pen is the safest, most permanent and convenient way for a woman to remove those unsightly hairs on her face and body. Unlike the more traditional electrolysis treatments that require the woman to go into a professional and expose different parts of her body for electrolysis, the cordless electrolysis pen can be used in the privacy of how own home and can easily be done by herself. In addition, unlike the traditional methods of electrolysis, there are no needles used, which can cause scarring to some women's skin, especially if she has a darker complexion.

How it Works

A cordless electrolysis pen uses a gel solution that is either placed on a cotton pad or is already in a gel pad that is used with the pen, depending on the area of the body needing hair removal. The gel pads are used on larger sections of the body, while the cotton pads are usually used around the facial areas that require a finer method of hair removal. There will usually be a tingling sensation felt as the electricity passes from the cordless electrolysis pen through the cotton fibers into the gel, which causes the salt a water solution to change to sodium hydroxide which gently kills the hair root and papilla, thus stopping further growth in that hair follicle.

Any woman who has waxed before knows that within a short amount of time, the area that was waxed seems to have more hair growth. Although it seems that it is the same hairs that are growing back so quickly, the truth is that hair follicles produce hairs at different times, often going dormant for eight to ten weeks before producing more hair. This requires waxing and other methods of hair removal to be done quite often, even though the hair is being totally removed.

With cordless electrolysis pens, once the first round of hair follicles have been killed, then they will never produce more hairs again, which means that when the next round of hair grows up, it is new hair follicles, which can then be treated, killing the papilla, and assuring the woman that they will not longer produce more hair. Once eight to ten weeks have passed since the start of the process, the woman can be fairly certain that she has gotten the majority of the hair follicles and will probably only have to do spot treatments for the more dormant follicles in the future.
